What do u want to be
What are u turning to

Can you call yourself a human
Or in this mad rush you are just being a cork in the wheel
Who blames the world for everything wrong
or pity's the situation one is in

Why is having your own personal space so important
Aren't u too created invisible boundaries,huh?

Why is being heard so important, why cannot you listen instead
Instead of finding flaws why cannot you see the unique traits first

Stop, sit back and ponder is this living all about?

Hey.. I also have the same thoughts at times.

Thank God I am not alone!

When I was in 8th grade my Hindi teacher considered us mature enough to be passed on some words of wisdom. One day she told us that whenever we are about to do something that are should not be doing, our souls caution us. She told us that if you listen to that voice regularly then it would grow into a loud shriek and if we don't then it would remain a meek murmur.
She advised us that everyday before we go to sleep we should look back at how the day went. Ponder if everything we did went as we would have liked it to and how we are going to improve.
The technique is simple and no secret but it does produce amazing results.

That's what life is all about. Why create personal space - so that we can be us. The space we live in will always be occupied by others - some sharing our wavelength, some not....

Very true...

But I think, Life is about today. Have fun, njoi the day to fullest, spread the smile around you. At night go for sleep, to be ready for next day, to spread more smiles and love...

Dont think too much... Live and Smile Girl.

Love u

Maddie,

I read your poem thrice. First time as your perspective and in a more lighter sense and thought "senti mat ho re", second- considering myself as the protagonist of your poem and man! I felt guilty :-) It was like you are scolding all of us, you can be scary ;-). Third I read it objectively and kind of thought how about this? -->

We are not turning into someone
We don't want to be.
We cannot let
This mad rush affect us.
Blaming the world for everything wrong
or pitying the situation one is in,
Is not us.

Personal space is important,
It is tough not to create invisible boundaries.
Being heard is important
But we still try hard to listen.
It is easy to find flaws
But we strive to look at the good traits instead.
Often we stop, sit back and ponder What this living is all about?
Remembering we are all together in this-
Only human.
And yet, a beautiful creation of God.

Arc: Wow! very well written. We never turn into someone we do not want to be. But we do get a better perspective of other kinds of human nature - either experiencing ourselves or understanding from others. Maybe that's what makes a human tolerant...
