Silence

Who says silence does not speak
So much get said without having to say it
One can hear if the ears of heart are open

Sometimes lot is said, but still it does not get conveyed
The cluttered thoughts in our minds block us from really hearing it
And sometimes we do listen but filter what we listen
Based on the moods of our mind

I guess, we do not know what it means to listen
listening to what is not said and saying without having to really tell

Read this quote sometime back by Aldous Huxley:
After silence, that which comes nearest to expressing the inexpressible is music.

Hey beautifully written. It's true silence says it all...Like they say, most of the communication is non-verbal ...

Very well said. I do agree silence convey our innermost feelings. But the real difficulty is how do we interpret it. That is the time when we want to hear something verbally :)

I rememer this song from a very famous movie :
"sirf ehsaah hai yeh , rooh se mehsoos karo.
Pyaar ko pyaar hi rehne do , koi naam na do"

music is an opposite of silence - then how can it come close?

Burf, Music can still be played without lyrics. So even if we do not express ourselves, the tune would give away our innermost emotions.

Voila ! Beautiful Thought,

The silence says it all, but it should be kept timely. As they say:

"Well-timed silence hath more eloquence than speech."
